■Y/N's POV■

The sky is clear today, the light seep through the branches of the tree as I sit with my friends under it's shadow. The wind blew softly, hitting the skin of my cheeks.

Nonoka and my other friends are all talking to each other, it's the topic I'm interested in, talking about new food stores and all, but I just can't keep my head in the conversation.

"???: Hey... please get well soon... don't be sick..."

Who... was that? Is it... him...

It's been three days but I still can't get my mind away from that day. Neither Nonoka or Ozawa san left me that Milk.

Moreover... the voice...

The more I think about it, it sounds like Takao san's voice. But he has a girlfriend, there's no way he'll visit me, right?

Nonoka: Y/N!

Y/N: Y-Yes!?

I was startled when Nonoka suddenly taps my shoulder. I look up and see that all of my friends have their attention on me.

Nonoka: oi, we've been callig you for a while, look you spill your food... why were you spacing out like that.

I look down and see that a slice of tomato fell from my sandwich.

Y/N: oh my, I'm sorry...

One of my friends hands me tissues and I pick it up ti rhrow it into the trash can.

Nonoka: are you alright? Are you still not well ? Maybe you need to take another day off...

Y/N: a-ah no Nonoka, everyone... I'm really okay... three days... I've been resting for three days it's enough...

I tried to convince my friends that I'm fine. I need to pull myself together.

Nonoka: anyway, did Ozawa came to visit you?

Y/N: huh? Ozawa kun? No he didn't...

Nonoka: whaaat? After I gave him your adress when he asked me...

Somehow now we're talking about Ozawa kun. My friends misunderstood my relationship with Ozawa kun and I tried to explain to them.

Suddenly we talked about each other crushes, because one of my friends like someone. Thankfully now the talk doesn't centered on me.

Nonoka: hey, let's hang out after school... the new cat cafe near the station has good eclair they said... Y/N you coming?

Y/N: ah... yes, I'd like to go...

As we talk I can't help myself as my mind once again strayed to the chocolate milk.

Even if it's really Takao san who left the milk for me, than I'll just have to thank him. Though it still hurt me when I remember about us, I still can't ignore someone's good deeds.

If we meet in the hallway...

Maybe...

I can ask him...

And thank him...

■3rd Person POV■

Takao and Fuyumi are walking to the rooftop with foods on their hands. Midorima once again separated himself from the two, decided to eat with his other friends.

Takao noticed that Midorima doesn't hang out with him other than during basketball practice. He knows that Midorima is not comfortable with Fuyumi.

It's different with when he was with Y/N. Midorima and even their other teammates don't mind if Y/N hang out with them.

Takao opens the door to the rooftop amd Fuyumi walks out first soon followed by Takao. The two sits near the guardrail.

Fuyumi talks about how she will join a modeling agency.

Fuyumi: I'll start being a part time model on our next semester...

Takao: that's nice... good luck with that...

Fuyumi keeps on talking and Takao actually doesn't really care about what she talks about. Fuyumi doesn't enjoy topic about sports, that could be one of the reason for why Takao's friends doesn't like her.

Even Takao kinda fed up with listening to her. With Y/N it's different, she would asked about how his training is going, and ask about his matches and all. She would also listen of Takao has something on his mind about basketball.

He missed her

Takao: is she... better now... I haven't seen him since the day she fainted...

Takao leans his back on the guard line as he eat his bread. His ears caught whatever Fuyumi is talking about but his mind is wandering around. His eyes looking at the field where some students are playing soccer, and sometimes she looks at the student who are just eating in some cozy spot of the school yard.

Then, as he keep looking around, his eyes caught something. There Y/N is sitting with her friends under a tree. She seems like listening to her friends talk as she eats her sandwich.

Takao's chest warmed at the sight of her looking better than three days ago. No more pale face as her cheeks have their natural pink color back.

Takao: thank goodness... you're fine now... please don't get sick... I'm crazy worried about you...

Fuyumi: hmm... so she's back to school...

Takao was surprised to hear Fuyumi's voice. The girl is now crouching near the guardrail next to Takao, as she looks down at where Y/N is.

Fuyumi was talking when she realizes that Takao hasn't been listening to her. She then notices that Takao's eyes look gentle as she looks at something and decided to look as well.

There she sees Y/N with her friends, enjoying her lunch break together under a big tree. Fuyumi clenches the wrap of her food when she realizes that Takao is more interested in Y/N then listening to her.

Last year Fuyumi's father was send to work in another prefecture, so Fuyumi and her family moved away. Takao was trying to keep their relationship but Fuyumi insisted that they should break up because she doesn't want to be in a long distance relationship.

Then when she came back she wants to be with him again, though she knew Takao was with Y/N, she keeps on pursuing him by talking about their old days.

Takao who was confused by his feelings and memories, thought he actually loved her while in reality it's just because Takao was immersed in their past memories. Then as she got to make Takao and Y/N broke up, she was happy thinking that she won over him.

But, even though Takao and Y/N broke up, he never ask her to be his girlfriend. Moreover, when Y/N fainted Fuyumi noticed that Takao was worried about her and now he even gives his attention to the girl who doesn't even know that he looks at her.

Takao: she might have a good rest the past three days... it's good that she's better...

Fuyumi : hmm... well she could just faked being sick and having fun in all those three days...

Takao stands up surprising Fuyumi, she also stands up and shivers run her spine as she looks at how Takao stares at her.

Takao: don't say something about someone you don't even know...

Fuyumi swallows the nothingness in her throat as she became anniyed and scared.

Fuyymi: c-come on I was just joking... why are you so pissed...

Takao glances at her and then eat the remaining bread on his hand. He turns around and start walking.

Takao: have you finished your meal? Let's get back to class...

Fuyumi stares as Takao walks away, she looks back at stares at Y/N who's happily talking with her friends.

Fuyumi: I... How could you Kazunari... put your attention on her when I'm around...

Then Fuyumi runs to follow Takao.

After school, Fuyumi left righy away. She wants to make Takao feels bad by sulking but Takao doesn't really cared about that.

Midorina notices that his friend is in a dispute with Fuyumi.

Midorima: fought?

Takao: nah...

Midorima doesn't pry even more and the two head to practice. Midorima notices that his friend is feeling down.

Midorima: Takao, I'll be meeting with Kise, Kuroko, and the other... wanna join us? We'll go to maji burger...

Takao who's feeling down thinks that he should lift up his mood and agreed.

Y/N has just part ways with Nonoka after visiting the at cafe. She's now waiting on the bus stop, at this time the bus is pretty packed.

Her bus came and she get on the bus, seeing that there's no empty seat, Y/N tries to walk to the other the side without the door, because her stop is pretty far.

As she reach the spot she wanted Y/N reach up to hold the empty handler, she looks at the person standing next to her. Her heart beats faster as she's now facing Takao.

Takao: Y...N...

Y/N: T-Takao san...

The two bows their head a little and ride the bus in silence. As they passed a couple of bus stops, the bus is less packed. Y/N was planning on moving  a little so she won't have to stand so close to Takao, but the bus was moving.

Y/N lost her balance and trip. As she thought she's going to fall, strong arm wrapped around her waist, preventing her from falling.

Y/N turns around and sees Takao's worried face.

Takao: Y/N, are you alright?

Y/N can feel the worries in Takao's voice and his gaze. She nods her head and Takao help her to stand. They're back to ride in silence untill their stop.

The bus came to Takao's stop, but he didn't get off. Y/N noticed that Takao missed his stop.

Y/N: T-Takao san... you... missed your stop...

Takao looks at the stop and then looks back at her.

Takao: I... can just walk from the next stop... it's not too far...

The next stop is where Y/N will get off. The thing is, Takao is worried. he thoughts y/n stumbled because she's still unwell. So he just want to make sure she arrives at home safely.

As the get off the bus  the two walks together. As they walk, Y/N can't help but think about the milk.

■Takao's POV■

Is she... feeling uncomfortable?

We... used to walk home together like this...

I'm worried about her, that's why I get off on her stop. But as I think about it, she might not be comfortable around me.

As we walk, Y/N starts talking to me which caught me off guard.

Y/N: T-Takao san...

Takao: yes?

Y/N walks next to me, there's a 1,5 meter gap between us. She walks while looking at the street.

Y/N: um... did you... uh came to the infirmary three days ago... um... I... was... I fainted... did you came to the infirmary?

Did she caught me...

I'm afraid that she might hated that I came to see her. But, seeing how she asked like this, I Don want to lie.

Takao: yes... I did...

Y/N looks up at me as I boldly answer her.

Y/N: oh... I-I see...

Takao: I... was worried about you... so I visited you during class... I'm... sorry...

Y/N shooks her head no as I apologize.

Y/N: n-no... please don't apologize... I... uh... thankyou for visiting me...

Dub dub

She's... not mad...

Takao: I uh... no problem... uh... are you alright now?

Y/N nods her head and tells me that she's resting at home. Her parents were away at her grandparents house, so her cousin took care of her.

Takao: I'm glad... you're better now... take care of your self... please... don't be sick...

As I say this Y/N looks at me eyes widened. I look at her wondering what makes her so surprised. She then looks away.

We're now at the junctions not far from her house. I can watch her walk to her house without have to follow her, she might not be comfortable after all.

Y/N turns about to head to her place when she stops.

Y/N: Takao san....

Takao: hmm? What is it?

Y/N turns around, eyes still looking at the ground.

Y/N: did you... gave me... the chocolate milk?

Y/N looks up at me and my heart skips a bit. It's been a while since the last time I got to see her eyes as we speaks like this. How seeing at her gentle gaze could make me feels warm.

Takao: yes...

Y/N: I... see... thank you... Takao san...

Dub dub

Y/N turns around and start walking to her house, and I can only watch as she walks away from me. Not knowing when will I have the chance to be this close to her again.

I...

Wish to ealk like this with you again...

But by this time...

It's already too late for me to realize...
